The E-geia project focuses on raising awareness and improving understanding of EU fundamental rights among elderly citizens, particularly in the field of health. Its main goal is to empower the elderly to better access and utilize healthcare services by addressing barriers such as lack of information, age-based discrimination (ageism), and low digital literacy.
IMKKA is responsible for the design and implementation of the project’s research component, including:
- Analyzing the knowledge and experiences of elderly citizens in relation to their EU health rights,
- Preparing a study with comparative analysis across EU countries,
- Authoring awareness-raising articles and providing input to communication tools,
- Contributing to the development of a practical toolkit and a digital training platform.
The project adopts citizen-centered, bottom-up methodologies and promotes intergenerational exchange through training activities, storytelling sessions, and outreach materials such as podcasts and educational videos. ). E-geia aims to ensure long-term impact and embed its results into broader strategies supporting social inclusion and civic participation of vulnerable groups.
