What we do

Areas Of Activity

Being conscious of Civil Society’s vital role in responding to societal challenges, the cross-cutting nature of today’s issues as well as the essential role of policy to achieve systemic changes rather than small scale, non-replicable solutions and approaches, IMKKA brings together the Civil Society, Academia and Policy Makers through its activities in the following areas:
  • Focusing on bottom-up, participatory approaches and co-creation.
  • Promoting common values and the education of citizens in societal issues.
  • Incorporating the new trends and developments in stakeholder engagement and the promotion of civic dialogue.
  • Research & reports on challenges faced by vulnerable groups of population and key recommendations to policy makers to achieve change on an institutional level.
  • Gender mainstreaming – integrating a gender equality perspective at all stages and levels of policies, programmes and projects.
  • Financial inclusion, through (re-)integration in the labour market and the development of beneficiaries’ financial literacy.
  • Leveraging digital technologies to increase accessibility and inclusion for vulnerable groups.
  • Utilizing a digital-first approach to maximize social impact.
  • Promoting an equitable digital transformation framework.
  • Contribute to reducing the digital divide through training and upskilling opportunities for people facing barriers, digital literacy and inclusion for the benefit of beneficiaries and wider economic and social implications for societies.
  • IMKKA’s projects and activities are designed utilizing systems thinking, always being mindful of environmental implications.

IMKKA incorporates state-of-the art methodologies and its outputs in the above areas of activity include:

  • Strategic studies and policy formulation
  • Evidence-based advocacy activities
  • Impact assessments and evaluations
  • Design of training courses & curricula
  • Capacity building activities
  • Publications and reports
  • Bringing international best practices from the fields of our activity into the service of society
