IMKKA’s Participation in the BASIS Project Review Meeting in Cyprus

Larnaca, Cyprus – April 2026

The Institute of Research for Innovation and Development (IMKKA) actively participated in the training review meeting and “Train-the-Trainer” session for the BASIS project (Project 2025-1-IE01-KA210-ADU-000360333). The comprehensive review meeting was hosted at the SEK Office in Larnaca, Cyprus, on April 20th and 21st, 2026.

Purpose of the Meeting and Review Process

The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss the feedback from the two pilot training courses delivered in Dublin and the “Train-the-Trainer” course conducted on April 20th.

To facilitate the evaluation process, participants were divided into two “natural” working groups (Greek and Cypriot). Representing the Greek group, we relied on the “Plan-Do-Review” model, which is the basis for continuous improvement, to critically review the course materials, contents, format, and structure.

Key Conclusions

Through interactive discussions and feedback sessions, several significant conclusions were reached regarding the future of organizational training:

  • It was universally agreed that foresight training and skills are needed to help CSOs better understand and deal with change.
  • Moving from being reactive to formulating a considered proactive response is essential.
  • Understanding the forces involved in change and recognising their potential impact allows a structured response to be considered.
  • The tools and techniques included in the course material will help participants to do this when dealing with future change situations.

Next Steps

Following the integration of the participants’ constructive feedback, the course has been refined and is now ready for general delivery to its intended audience.

Recognizing the value of this initiative, IMKKA is more than happy to recommend this course to CSOs struggling to get “change-ready”.
